50TH REUNION – SEPTEMBER 25-26, 2015
One hundred thirty-three classmates and 76 spouses attended the two day Class of ’65 event celebrating 50 years since our graduation. Sixty more classmates responded that they were unable to attend a total of 173 memory books were picked up or mailed.
Reunion activities began at Ernie’s Steakhouse at 5 p.m. where Classmates checked in to receive photo name tags, dinner tickets for Saturday, a memory book, and Casey’s 50th Anniversary T-Shirts. The balance of the evening Classmates and spouses circulated renewing old friendships, enjoying libations, and helping themselves to finger food from tables in an adjoining banquet room. It was a beautiful fall evening with perfect temperatures to enjoy the patio which opens off of the bar with views of the city and the Lewiston Hill. As the evening progress attendees were treated to a beautiful sunset.
At 8 a.m. seventeen classmates met at Quail Ridge Golf Course to play a round of golf. At 2 p.m. some classmates met at the old Lewiston High School to tour and refresh their memories of school days. At 5:30 p.m. the class gathered at the Red Lion Hotel for a social hour followed by a buffet dinner featuring bite size steak and chicken. In brief memorial to deceased classmates, a golden mum each decorated with a purple L were placed in vases as each as each name was read. Dinner music, dancing and visiting followed.
